#10-37 RN- Shift Coordinator
MSTU (.9) FTE NOCS 12 hr shifts. Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education. Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies. Participates in nursing Quality Improvement. Maintains unit administration including scheduling and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state. Current ACLS certification required. Minimum of 3 years acute nursing experience with demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capable organizational ability and leadership skills. Demonstrated clinical nursing skills across the life span. Knowledge and ability to apply current theories, techniques and practices of nursing within his/her specialty area. Competent cardiac monitoring skills, including use of equipment. Critical thinking skills in the planning and administration of department resources. Bilingual preferred. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, lift and transport patients. Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull. Walks and stands for most of the working day. PD 06/07/10

MSTU Per Diem Variable shifts Assesses, plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates individualized, professional patient care to pediatric through geriatric patients within the medical surgical telemetry unit (MSTU). Pro¬vides nursing care as directed by medical staff and in accordance with the objectives, and the state Nurse Practice Act. Participates in patient teach¬ing and discharge planning. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and critical thinking ability required to function on the unit and to respond to rapidly changing patient needs. Uses an understanding of the prin¬ciples of growth and develop¬ment to as¬sess each patient's age specific needs and pro¬vide age specific appropriate treat¬ment and care. Participates in unit and hospital Perfor¬mance Im¬provement activ¬ities. Assumes Charge Nurse Role as assigned Requires: Registered Nurse, graduate from an approved School of Nursing; Current state licensure. Current BLS certification required.. Inexperienced nurses may be considered for employment in MSTU. Bi-lingual preferred. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and transfer and transport patients. #10-52 Health Unit Coordinator
Emergency Services. (.9) FTE Days 6:00am-6:30pm Previous medical reception exp. required. Aids in the smooth flow of communication in the Emergency Department. Is responsible for maintaining patient’s charts, accurately entering information into the log book, order entry of lab and radiology orders and phone or verbal communication to physicians, peers, patients, family members and pre-hospital personnel. Maintains physician daily call list. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. High school graduate, college education preferred. PD 08/12/10
#10-51 Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Tech
Lab (1.0) FTE Performs basic procedures and tests in all areas of the clinical laboratory and possibly higher testing in microbiology while maintaining established policies and procedures. Generalist- Hematology, coagulation, chemistry, serology, blood bank, urinalysis and microbiology. Reviews maintains quality control in the laboratory. Maintains instrumentation. Certified as a Medical Technologist by: (ASCP), (AMT), or (NCA), or Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW), or Bachelors Degree in a Biological Science or Chemistry with proven proficiency in Laboratory science, and Must meet requirements for certification by Washington Department of Health as Health Care Assistant, Category A. Moderate sitting, standing or walking; occasional light lifting up to 50 pounds. Minimum 3 years experience in clinical lab settings. PD 8/17/10
#10-50 Medical Technologist

#10-48 Environmental Services Aide
Environmental Services (.7) FTE 3rd Shift Rotating Schedule 11:00pm-7:30 am Independently performs environmental services, food services and sanitation. Cleaning includes, but is not limited to: floor care (sweeping, mopping and vacuuming), dusting, wiping down furnishings/surfaces, cleaning the kitchen/equipment and washing dishes, cleaning the dining rooms, trash removal, cleaning of residents rooms/bathrooms, laundering linens, cleaning all offices and common rooms, management and utilization of cleaning chemicals and equipment, management and ordering of food supplies for resident meal services and completing deep cleaning projects per a cleaning schedule. Completes maintenance records as required. Uses supplies and equipment in a safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. PD 7/27/10

Surgery. Per Diem
Assists nursing and surgical staff with direct patient care activities. Assumes responsibility for providing technical assistance in the environment of the operating room. Plans and evaluates care provided. Assists in the delivery of quality patient care through utilization of technical skills. Performs technical duties relating to scrub personnel, including smooth, precise, and efficient reaction to all situations, and assists with departmental work as assigned. Participates in staff, and patient education to a degree consistent with personal knowledge base. Participates in unit QI activities. Knows the legal limitations relating to the role of operating room technologist and acts accordingly. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. High school graduate and completion of an ORT
program with one year clinical experience as an ORT, or previous experience as an ORT with on-the-job training documented to the hospital’s satisfaction. Certification by the Assn of Surgery Technologists desired. Current BLS certification and Washington State Surgical Technologist license required. Prior Exp required PD 06/21/10 PD 5/18/09
#10-09 Certified Hand Therapist
Rehabilitation Services. Per Diem, variable. OT or PT Must be certified Hand Therapist. Provides professional physical therapy services to all age ranges under a physician’s prescription to a population of both inpatients and outpatients with physical disabilities resulting from injury, disease or surgery. Outpatient services are performed in our Satellite clinic across from the hospital. Provides patient education to both patient and family members. A physical therapist will also work with the inpatient interdisciplinary team to provide care planning and discharge planning assistance. The therapist will also work with front desk staff (HUC) on ensuring compliance with all paperwork requirements to ensure proper coding and billing of services rendered. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patients age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. PD 2/11/10
