Announcement: VGH Hosts Public Forum

Public Forum on the state of mental health in Washington 

Monroe, WA –The Valley General Hospital Board of Commissioners has requested a Public Hearing and Community Forum be held to discuss the serious problems confronting the mental health system in Washington.

“We, as health care providers, continue to struggle to meet the needs of citizens with mental illnesses effectively and efficiently,” states Mark Judy, CEO at Valley General Hospital.

The Public Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 6 p.m. The forum will be held at Valley General Hospital – Godard Room. Experts in the field will be present and will direct the discussion. “We hope for a robust discussion on how we can better meet the mental health needs of East Snohomish County,” states Judy.
