New Physician Joins VGH Primary Care Clinic
Christina Lee, MD Joins Sky River Medical Group

Monroe, WA – New to the Monroe medical community is Family Medicine physician, Christina Lee, MD. She joined Sky River Medical Group (a Valley General Hospital clinic) in November and is now accepting new patients. Dr. Lee has also received specialized training in wound and hyperbaric medicine and will see patients on a limited basis at the Wound Healing Center on the hospital’s campus.

Dr. Lee came to Monroe to help serve the primary care needs of the community and is looking forward to participating in the wellbeing of families in East Snohomish County. “I enjoy my specialty,” states Dr. Lee, “There’s nothing better than being able to see and treat three generations of a family.” From newborn care to geriatric care, Dr. Lee enjoys the full spectrum that family medicine provides.

“There is a continuity and consistency for women especially to see a family medicine physician,” states Dr. Lee. Family Medicine physicians are qualified to see female patients for routine gynecology needs in addition to also taking care of all other primary care needs.
“It is very important to have trust and communication with your physician,” states Dr. Lee. “When choosing my specialty those were very important to me. I value the ability to establish trust and develop a relationship with multiple members of a single family. That also helps me to understand the full spectrum of the individual patient as well as its impact on his/her care.”
There will now be four physicians practicing in the clinic – Dr. Lee joins internal medicine physicians Diane Doerner, MD and John Okemah, MD and fellow family medicine physician Ryan Hudson, MD, who also specializes in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Lee attended medical school at Ross University in North Brunswick, New Jersey. She completed a Family Medicine Residency at Deaconess Hospital in Indiana.
